Yoga with Sara

This is not your usual yoga class!!  This new yoga style called Activated Asana blends the most up-to-date strategies of the world of Movement Science with everything you love about the yoga practice.

It takes the best ideas from the world’s top physiotherapists, athletic coaches, and fascia researchers and seamlessly integrates them into a yoga practice filled with postures that everyone can do.

This synergy creates a potent experience that teaches yoga students how to use their body efficiently in all physical activities and sets them on the path towards a strong, injury proof body now and in their later years.

Who is Activated Asana For?

Experienced yoga students who want to try something new or who have noticed their current practice has stalled, with pain, tightness or weakness becoming more persistent.

Beginner and intermediate yoga students who want a practice designed to help them to make progress in both yoga and all other physical activities they do.

Athletes, CrossFitters and other ‘active’ types who want a yoga practice that uses a “shared language” derived from the top experts of the Movement Science world.

Who is Activated Asana Not For?

Students who want a hot yoga practice (The effects of external heat on the body are not conducive to the goals of the Activated Asana practice). Students who want a gentle practice with no challenge or muscular effort. (Though we do have the best Savasanas!) Students who like to approach yoga as a stretching practice where the focus is to push for every last millimetre of “openness”. Students who aren’t ready to make a commitment to their practice and devote regular, scheduled time to ensuring the improvement of their body. (And that’s totally ok – we’ve got the same non-judgemental vibe as everyone else. We just want to make sure you will enjoy yourself with us!)
